Jacob Thomas brings hybrid defensive-back value, but the search results do not support a Savannah State Tigers punter profile
The available sources identify Jacob Thomas as a 6'1", 212-pound safety from James Madison who was signed by the Minnesota Vikings in 2026, not as a Savannah State punter. In 2025, he logged 32 total yards on 5 appearances at James Madison, and outside scouting notes describe him as a versatile Day 3-type defensive back rather than a specialist. If you want a punter, this data suggests a mismatch; if you want a flexible, physical defensive back, Thomas looks like a role player with upside.
