Morgan State’s rising dual-threat spark
Raymond Moore III emerged in the 2025 season as a redshirt freshman playmaker for Morgan State, finishing with 1,049 passing yards, 9 passing touchdowns, 7 interceptions, and 414 rushing yards with 6 rushing touchdowns across nine games.[9][11] At 6-foot-4 and 180 pounds, he brings real dual-threat juice: he can create outside structure, punish defenses with his legs, and still flashes enough arm talent to stress the field vertically.[1][2] The knock is consistency—his turnover rate showed he was still learning on the job—but the upside is obvious for a team that wants a quarterback with mobility, toughness, and room to grow into a more polished starter.[9][11]
