Nick Moran brings left-handed strike-throwing and mid-rotation reliability to ECU
Moran is a left-handed starter who profiles as a steady, competitive arm rather than a pure overpowering one: in the 2024 season at Liberty, he went 4-3 with a 4.68 ERA, 59 strikeouts, and 24 walks in 67.1 innings, and ECU’s roster notes show he held opponents to a .220 average in 2026 while working mostly out of the bullpen with four starts. He stands out for giving his team length, missing enough bats to stay useful against quality lineups, and showing he can handle pressure starts versus strong competition.
