Nebraska’s Intense 4-Star Edge with 7 Sacks in 2024
Deontre Thomas, a 6-3, 280-pound 4-star defensive end from Mustang, OK, delivered a standout 2024 season with 69 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks, proving he’s a high-intensity, battle-tested fifth-year leader. Though statistically ranked mid-tier nationally (7 sacks = 246th of 881 DL), his differentiator is relentless pressure, elite athleticism (4.63s 40-yard dash), and a personality that elevates teammates. No major injury history; his intensity and decision-making (expected July 12) make him a perfect fit for teams needing a physical, experienced edge who thrives in critical moments.
