Miami (OH) TE Michael Davenport brings veteran size-and-skill upside, but the 2026 stat sheet is quiet
Davenport is a redshirt-freshman tight end listed at 6-1, 199 pounds for Miami (OH), and his profile suggests a developmental TE with multi-sport athletic background rather than a polished featured target. He has been in the program long enough to understand the system, but there’s no current production or national ranking buzz attached to him in the available sources, so the appeal is more about projection, roster depth, and special-teams or blocking upside than gaudy stats. If you want a low-drama, coachable body with room to grow, he’s intriguing; if you need instant offense, he’s not that guy.
