Nigel Green brings instincts and ball skills to South Alabama's secondary
Nigel Green is a **read-and-react defensive back** whose calling card is **instincts, playmaking, and ball skills** rather than elite raw speed, making him a useful fit for a scheme that values anticipation and turnover creation. South Alabama lists him as a cornerback, while 247Sports has him tagged as a safety, which suggests versatility in the defensive backfield and a player coaches can move around depending on matchup needs.[1][4] He also arrived with a strong high-school résumé, including **175 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 12 pass breakups**, so the appeal is a competitive, disruptive defender with clear production and position flexibility.[4]
