Cortney Sales brings veteran size and frontcourt stability to Southern Illinois
A 6-foot senior forward from Detroit by way of Labette CC, Cortney Sales gives Southern Illinois a proven, experienced post presence with the kind of size and maturity coaches value in a complementary big. Her profile suggests a role-player fit rather than a usage-heavy scorer, which can be a strength for teams needing rebounding, physicality, and low-drama frontcourt minutes. The key question for a new team is fit: she looks best as a steady, system-friendly forward who can anchor the interior, absorb contact, and do the little things that don’t always show up in box scores.
