Stefon Smith brings size and veteran experience to MVSU’s defensive line
Stefon Smith is a 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive lineman for Mississippi Valley State who has the frame and background to hold his own inside, with official team bio data showing he came to MVSU from Hinds CC and has played at Indianola Academy and Indianola, Mississippi. His listed production includes 11 solo tackles and 1 forced fumble on ESPN, and an older stat line from 2022 references a 85-tackle season, which suggests he has been around the ball and can be disruptive when healthy. The main draw is his proven physical profile and veteran feel, making him a fit for teams needing a sturdy, experienced DL presence rather than a pure flash athlete.
