senior Rice bat with pop, versatility, and big-game knack
Duffield is a 6-foot-3, 229-pound senior outfielder for Rice who brings right-handed power, run production, and a steady veteran presence. In the 2025 season, he hit a career-best .250 in 34 games with four homers, and the 2026 Rice roster notes he appeared in 10 games (6 starts) as a senior, including a triple and RBI against Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The separator here is his situational value: he’s shown pinch-hit impact, clutch extra-base pop, and enough flexibility to even log a mound inning. If your team wants a physical, experienced, do-a-little-bit-of-everything competitor, Duffield fits the bill.
