Jake Davis brings veteran size and linebacker heft to Sacred Heart's defense
In the 2025 season, Sacred Heart listed Jake Davis at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds as a senior linebacker, giving the Pioneers an experienced, physical body in the middle of the defense[1]. His main differentiator is straightforward: NFL-style frame, veteran status, and linebacker versatility rather than flashy counting stats, which usually points to a player valued for gap discipline, toughness, and reliability on early downs[1]. The available team data does not show him among the 2025 stat leaders, so the cleaner read is that he looks like a depth-and-stability defender more than a headline hunter[1][2].
