Old-school fullback, walk-on grit, and OU family pedigree
Joe Castiglione Jr. is a classic depth-chart fullback type for Oklahoma: a walk-on with football bloodlines, a team-first reputation, and a willingness to do the dirty work that helps an offense function. In his 2017 season, he logged 1 carry for 1 yard and no receptions, so the value here is less box-score flash and more role-specific reliability, intelligence, and toughness. He’s best for a team that wants a selfless, physical lead blocker with strong program fit and high “know your job, embrace your role” energy.
