Cal Poly’s Grady Liddell brings veteran linebacker depth and a shot at the Mike job
Grady Liddell is a 6-foot-1, 225-pound redshirt junior linebacker who entered the 2023 season as one of Cal Poly’s top candidates at Mike, a sign the staff trusts his football IQ, physicality, and reliability in the middle of the defense. His profile points to a tough, assignment-sound defender with experience across multiple roles, which helps explain why he’s been in the mix for meaningful snaps. For a team, he looks like a steady, high-effort LB fit rather than a flash-and-dash stat collector.
