Cornell DL Kevin Rooney: Sack Leader with Relentless Pass-Rush Firepower (2003-04)
Kevin Rooney dominated as Cornell's top defensive lineman in 2003-04, leading the team with 4.0 sacks and ranking second among DLs with 29 tackles while excelling in tackles for loss; his 'gentle giant' persona masked ferocious intensity that disrupted offenses. A senior standout from St. Mary's HS, Rooney's leadership and motor made him a disruptive force—ideal for teams needing blue-collar DLs who finish plays. Though graduated long ago, his Big Red legacy highlights prototype tenacity for developmental programs.
