Phillip Pickens Brings the Kind of Interior Presence VMI Needs Up Front
Pickens is listed on VMI’s football roster as a defensive lineman, but the available public data does not show recent stat production, so his value is best framed by role rather than box-score output[1]. For a team, that usually means an athlete whose fit hinges on trench work: holding his ground, eating blocks, and helping set the tone physically on defense. Because reliable current performance and scouting detail are limited in the sources provided, the strongest takeaway is that he is a roster-level DL prospect rather than a nationally tracked name right now[1].
