a physical, veteran Texas State DB with ball-production chops
Mike Rutledge projects as a tough, experienced defensive back whose calling card has been tackling, pass disruption, and steady reliability; in 2007 at Texas State, he posted 54 total tackles, 35 solo stops, and six pass deflections, including a season-high 10 tackles against Baylor. He looks like a fit for teams that value instincts, contact willingness, and a blue-collar tone-setter in the secondary more than pure splashy measurables.
