Charlotte’s ball-hawking, all-around edge creator
Eddie Basden was a do-it-all force for Charlotte, and in the 2004-05 season he led the 49ers with 93 steals, 8.4 rebounds per game, and 108 assists while earning Conference USA Player of the Year and a second straight Defensive Player of the Year nod. He was the kind of wing who changed games with chaos defense, toughness, and versatility rather than pure scoring flash, finishing with 1,066 career points and a school/C-USA steals record. If your team wants intensity, versatility, and a proven winner, Basden is exactly the type you’d love to coach.
