Assane Diop brings size, boards, and efficient frontcourt minutes
Diop is a **6'8" center/forward** whose value comes from reliable rebounding, interior length, and steady, low-drama production rather than volume scoring. In his most recent college seasons, he showed he can stay on the floor and contribute across multiple roles: at Colorado in 2024-25 he averaged **3.8 points and 3.7 rebounds** while appearing in **all 35 games**, and at San Diego he posted **5.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists** in 2025-26[2][5]. He looks like a fit for a team needing a physical, team-first big who can rebound, finish efficiently, and do the dirty work.
