Rod Winston brings size and tackling presence at linebacker
Rod Winston is a 6-foot-2, 222-pound linebacker listed on Troy’s roster, and the clearest takeaway is his profile as a sturdy, physical defender with enough length to play downhill and finish plays. Troy’s roster bio shows he was a Redshirt Freshman/sophomore-era prospect out of Shaw High School in Columbus, Georgia, and his early game notes included tackle production and special-teams value, which usually points to effort and reliability rather than flash. If you want a worker-bee LB with built-in toughness and developmental upside, he fits that mold.
