Alex Chavez brings a live arm and bullpen flexibility to LMU
In the 2025 season, Alex Chavez gave Loyola Marymount valuable innings in relief, striking out 11 in 11.1 innings while working through a tough first year at the Division I level and flashing enough poise to earn a one-inning win at San Francisco and a scoreless start to the season. He’s a righty with size, starter/relief versatility, and a competitive edge that showed up in multiple game situations. The stat line is rough, but the stuff and experience are real; he looks like a developmental arm who could fit a staff that values toughness and upside.
