Troy’s Octavious Sumbry Brings Active-Hands Safety Depth
In the 2024 season, Octavious Sumbry appeared in Troy’s stat line as a safety with 8 total tackles, showing he can contribute in run support and on special-teams-adjacent depth duty[1]. His value is less about flashy turnovers and more about steady, physical back-end depth from a home-state product out of Phenix City, giving Troy a familiar, development-friendly piece who can compete, tackle, and stay ready when called[1][2].
