John-Paul Sauer giving SEMO a live-arm righty with bounce-back upside
In the 2026 season, John-Paul Sauer has shown swing-and-miss ability and starter utility for Southeast Missouri State, including a 6-strikeout, 4-inning outing against Evansville and a strong 4-inning, 3-strikeout effort in the win over UT Martin. He’s a 6-foot-2, 210-pound right-hander from Jackson, Missouri, who already proved he can handle Division I innings at Tulane, and his selling points are size, strike-throwing flashes, and competitiveness. The wrinkle: his 2026 run has been uneven early, so he looks like a high-upside arm with some risk, not a finished product yet.
