Experienced guard with Canisius roots and a transfer-ready mindset
Amaya Santiago is a 5'9" guard who brings proven college experience, having started her career at Canisius before later appearing at Post University, which suggests a player who has already adapted to different roles and programs. Her standout value is likely her guard versatility and maturity rather than flashy box-score hype, with recruiting profiles listing her as a combo perimeter player and sources showing she was actively pursued by Canisius out of high school. She looks like a fit for teams needing a steady, older backcourt piece who understands college basketball, competes hard, and can plug into a system without a long learning curve.
