Jack Nobe is giving Xavier a sturdy weekend arm with punch-out upside
In the 2026 season, Xavier right-hander Jack Nobe has flashed real swing-and-miss ability, highlighted by a career-best 8 strikeouts in 4.1 innings at No. 8 Arkansas, while also handling tough road starts and working deeper into games for the Musketeers. He’s a 6-foot-3 sophomore with a live arm, a competitive edge, and enough strikeout stuff to miss bats when his command is on; the only question is consistency, since his outings have ranged from sharp run prevention to some early damage against elite lineups. He looks like a useful fit for a team that values upside, toughness, and a pitcher who won’t flinch in big environments.
