Michigan's Academic Star Walk-On QB with Untapped Potential
Garrett Moores, a pro-style quarterback who walked on at Michigan and earned letters in 2016-17, stands out as a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and 2016 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar—highlighting his elite intelligence and work ethic as an engineering-caliber student-athlete. Though he saw limited game action behind a stacked QB room, his commitment from Novi, MI's Catholic Central earned 247Sports buzz, showcasing pocket presence and leadership. Injury-free with captain-level intensity, he's the perfect high-character backup or developmental gem for teams valuing smarts over splashy stats—low risk, high upside.
