Malik Johnson (Kansas RB) | Compact Back with Three-Star Pedigree Seeking Consistent Opportunity
The 5'9", 204-lb running back earned three-star rankings from Rivals, ESPN, and 247Sports out of Boone County High School in Kentucky. Johnson projects as a power runner with solid vision in the passing game—his 5.2 yards-per-carry average as a junior (2023) demonstrates downhill efficiency. At Kansas, he's competing for carries in a crowded backfield. His compact frame and work ethic make him an intriguing fit for teams valuing versatility and toughness, though he'll need consistent touches to showcase his full skill set at the FBS level.
