Dayton LB Andy Viertbeck: steady, physical, and built for defensive reliability
Andy Viertbeck profiles as a dependable linebacker for Dayton, the kind of player coaches value for assignment discipline, toughness, and consistent effort over flash. The biggest differentiator is reliability: he fits a defense that wants sound tackling, gap integrity, and a player who can stay composed through contact and traffic. Publicly available roster and stats sources do not provide enough recent individual performance data to responsibly claim specific production trends, so the best read is that Viertbeck’s appeal is as a blue-collar, system-fit defender who should be evaluated on instincts, physicality, and consistency.
