The 6'10" Guard Masquerading as a Samford Center
Travis Peterson, a fifth-year senior center for the Samford Bulldogs in the 2007-08 season, dazzled with 12.1 PPG (2nd on team), 4.5 RPG, and a team-high 80 assists—ranking 8th in OVC assist/TO ratio at 1.6 despite his size—while shooting 48.4% FG and hitting 52 threes the prior year. Dubbed 'Guard in a Center's Body,' his elite ball-handling, perimeter shooting, and low-turnover play make him a rare unicorn big who dominates inside-out; a 1,000-point scorer with pro experience overseas, he's the versatile fit every coach dreams of for modern lineups.
