Andre Hicks brings veteran secondary savvy to UAB
Andre Hicks is a veteran defensive back for UAB who has long shown reliable, assignment-sound play and ball production; in the 2010 season, he logged 20 tackles, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble, and in the 2009 season he added 34 tackles and an interception. The appeal is his experience, toughness, and ability to make timely plays rather than just chase highlight-reel stats, which makes him a useful fit for teams needing a steady, competitive presence in the back end.
