Redshirt Sophomore DB with Untapped Potential at Nicholls State
Jamal Walters (DB, #21) is a redshirt sophomore at Nicholls State who has not yet appeared in a game as of the 2019 season, meaning his current on-field performance is unproven but his potential is high. His differentiators include elite physicality, burst, and the ability to hit the hole and get upfield—traits that define his scouting profile despite limited game action. Walters’ intensity level is exceptional, and his personality is marked by relentless work ethic and team-first mentality. While injury history is not publicly documented, his redshirt status suggests strategic development rather than health concerns. He’s a strong fit for teams seeking a high-upside DB with raw tools and coachable intensity, though he requires time to develop game experience. Care about Walters because he represents a future stat leader in the making, with scouts already noting his X9 SCOUTING-grade burst and physicality.
