James Davis brings efficient backcourt glue to UTRGV
James Davis profiles as a steady, low-drama guard who has shown real growth as a connector and secondary creator: in the 2023-24 season, he logged 389 minutes, scored 100 points, and added 28 assists with 50 rebounds, 16 steals, and a .388 field-goal percentage. That stat line suggests a player who impacts winning beyond scoring, with activity on defense and enough playmaking to keep an offense humming. If a team wants toughness, versatility, and a guard who can do the unglamorous stuff, Davis is worth a hard look.
