Kalen McCain brings veteran DB instincts and ball-hawk pedigree to NCCU
Kalen McCain’s appeal is easy to see: he arrives with a proven turnover background, including 13 interceptions and 12 pass breakups over his final two high school seasons, plus a reputation as a 3-star recruit and championship-level defender. He’s the kind of defensive back who fits teams that value anticipation, toughness, and playmaking in the secondary rather than just raw measurables. The catch? Publicly available current-season production is limited here, so the strongest case comes from his track record, experience, and the kind of “erase your mistake” energy coaches love.
