KJ Johnson II brings steady safety depth and physical upside to Coastal Carolina
KJ Johnson II is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound safety who gives Coastal Carolina a solid, physical presence on the back end and the kind of length and frame coaches like in a modern defensive defender. In prior seasons, he has shown the ability to contribute in the run game and in coverage, which makes him a useful fit for a defense that wants reliability, toughness, and roster flexibility. He looks like the type of player who earns trust through consistency, not flash—valuable if your team wants a dependable, detail-oriented safety with room to keep growing.
