Courtney Strauthers brings Alabama a proven paint presence with shot-blocking and efficient scoring
Strauthers is a high-impact forward/center whose value comes from rim protection, efficient finishing, and reliable rebounding; in her Alabama career she started all 30 games in one season, averaged 5.4 points and 4.2 rebounds, and led the team with 21 blocks, while her earlier seasons showed similar interior production and a strong field-goal touch. She also earned Black Scholars Award recognition, which points to the kind of steady, disciplined presence coaches like in a frontcourt player.
