the steady, defense-first Billiken with a clutch outside touch
In the 2005-06 season, Anthony Drejaj was a senior guard who gave Saint Louis toughness, leadership, and two-way reliability: he averaged 7.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game while ranking fifth in the Atlantic 10 in three-point percentage (.412). He also led SLU with 31 steals, finished his career third on the Bills’ all-time steals list and fourth in threes, and earned the program’s Most Inspirational Award after overcoming seven injuries—pretty strong evidence he was the kind of glue guy coaches trust when games get sticky.
