TJ McDaniel gives NAU a physical, efficient back with proven burst
TJ McDaniel fits the mold of a tough, north-south running back: in his 2023 debut season at Northern Arizona, he battled injuries but still flashed as the team’s lead rusher in multiple games, including 56 yards on 14 carries against Arizona and a 6-yard touchdown vs. UC Davis. The appeal is his compact, productive style, reliable ball security, and ability to create steady offense without needing a ton of touches. If you want a back who can absorb contact, keep drives alive, and bring some edge, he’s worth a serious look.
