Texas Tech DL with JUCO Pedigree and Raw Athletic Tools
Leon Mackey, a 6'5", 260 lb defensive lineman for Texas Tech, transferred from Hinds CC where he dominated in 2010 with 47 tackles, 15.5 TFLs, and 4.5 sacks in just nine games, showcasing explosive pass-rush ability; his Hargrave combine numbers (4.7 40-yard dash, 4.34 shuttle, 26" vertical, 14 bench reps) highlight elite agility and strength for his size. Career highs at Tech included 6 tackles vs. Iowa State (2011), but limited production (no sacks) suggests untapped potential needing scheme fit—perfect for teams seeking a high-motor JUCO gem with NFL measurables who signed with the Vikings post-college.
