Ryan Turner gives Troy a sturdy, blue-collar LB presence with veteran size and SEC-style toughness
In the 2026 season, Troy’s Ryan Turner is listed at 6-foot-1, 224 pounds and is a senior linebacker, which usually signals a dependable, grown-man presence in the middle of the defense rather than a flashy stat sheet chaser. The key appeal is his physicality and experience: he looks built to take on blocks, set the tone, and stabilize a unit that needs trust-and-throw-your-body-at-it defense. If you want a linebacker who fits a hard-nosed, assignment-sound system, Turner is a very sensible fit.
