Jovesa Damuni brings burst, versatility, and upside to BYU’s backfield
In the 2025 season, BYU’s Jovesa Damuni flashed as a compact, downhill runner with pop, finishing with 19 carries for 111 yards, 1 rushing touchdown, and 6 catches for 44 yards; he averaged 5.8 yards per carry and added value as a receiver out of the backfield. He’s a former low-three-star recruit who was praised as an elusive, cutting back, and his best fit is a system that values versatility, quick acceleration, and opportunistic touches rather than heavy, between-the-tackles volume.
