Steve Stephens IV brings veteran savvy and coverage reliability to Oregon's secondary
In the 2023 season, Steve Stephens IV was a steady, high-floor defensive back for Oregon, making 56 tackles, 2 interceptions, 4 passes defended, and earning strong Pro Football Focus grades in coverage and tackling. His calling card is versatility and discipline: he plays with veteran instincts, cleans up in space, and has the kind of consistency coaches trust in big moments. After an injury-affected stretch in 2021, he returned to post his best Duck season, which makes him a fit for teams wanting a dependable, physically engaged DB rather than a pure highlight-reel playmaker.
