Hard-throwing freshman arm with proven strikeout upside for FAU
Ashlynn Durkin enters Florida Atlantic as a **5-foot-10 right-handed pitcher** with a clear calling card: strikeouts. In high school, she paired power pitching with poise under pressure, including a 2025 season cited at **10-3 with a 1.86 ERA and 169 strikeouts in 101⅔ innings**, and standout games like **18 strikeouts in a three-hitter** and a **1-hitter with no walks and 12 Ks**. FAU listed her on its 2026 Freshman Watch List, suggesting she is already viewed as a potential impact piece in the circle.[1][5][8][2][4][3]
