Haim Shimonovich brings old-school rim protection and rebounding grit to Hawaii
In the 2003-04 season, Haim Shimonovich was a legit interior anchor for Hawaii, finishing his Rainbow Warriors career with 631 rebounds and 143 blocks, including a 10-double-double career résumé and a reputation for banging inside rather than padding empty stats.[1][2][4] At 6-foot-10, 265 pounds, he started every game at center as a junior and was praised as a steady, physical presence with enough touch to score in double figures when the offense needed a grown-up in the paint.[5][13]
