developmental JMU interior lineman with depth-chart upside
In the 2026 season, Elijah McCall is listed by James Madison as a redshirt freshman defensive tackle at 6-1, 250, and the staff has described him as a depth piece the program hopes can grow into a more reliable interior presence.[1] The big takeaway: he looks more like a development bet than a ready-made stat sheet star—useful if you want size, effort, and room to coach, but the current public info does not show game stats or major accolades yet.[1]
