Eddie Scaccia brings size, arm strength, and proven strikeout production to EIU’s rotation
Scaccia is a 6-foot-3 right-hander whose appeal starts with his power profile: Prep Baseball reports him at 6'3" and 210 pounds, while his own portal post listed a fastball at 91-93 mph and touching 94 in the fall. He also showed real workload value at College of DuPage in 2024, going 8-2 with a 4.07 ERA and a team-high 57 strikeouts in 48.2 innings across 10 starts. That combination of physicality, swing-and-miss stuff, and starter experience makes him a useful fit for a staff that wants innings and upside.
