Veteran Lehigh linebacker Rusty Campion brings depth, toughness, and academic polish
Campion is a senior linebacker for Lehigh who has earned meaningful playing time and brought steady depth, highlighted by 27 tackles in 11 games in the 2006 season and 3 tackles in a win over Georgetown during his junior year. His value goes beyond box scores: he was an All-New Jersey football and lacrosse athlete in high school, earned Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recognition, and is listed as a 5-10, 215-pound industrial engineering major, suggesting a disciplined, high-IQ profile. He looks like a fit for teams that want a dependable, physical, team-first linebacker rather than a headline-grabbing stat accumulator.
