Mattison Buster has been a workhorse ace for Northwestern State in 2026
Buster emerged in the 2026 season as Northwestern State’s clear staff ace, piling up wins, complete games, strikeouts and shutouts while flashing rare consistency and durability. Her calling card is bulldog-level competitiveness: she threw a no-hitter in February 2026, then kept stacking quality starts and conference awards all spring, finishing as the Southland’s Newcomer of the Year and one of the league’s top pitchers. If you want a pitcher who can control games, eat innings and swing momentum, she looks like a strong fit.
