Regan Shockey is Arizona’s elite table-setter in center field
Shockey is a high-contact, high-IQ utility player who has been one of Arizona’s most reliable spark plugs, leading the Wildcats in 2026 with a .451 batting average, 82 hits, and 73 runs scored while also earning Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors after a flawless conference season in the field.[1][7][14] What makes her valuable goes beyond the box score: she is an ultra-aggressive slap hitter, a plus runner, and a premium defender in center field who brings range, consistency, and intensity—exactly the kind of player who fits a team that wants pressure on the defense every inning.[4][12][13]
