Multi-Sport Athlete Transitioning Positions at Northwestern
Brett Nagel is an outside linebacker from Lemont, IL who committed to Northwestern as a highly-regarded prospect, ranking 23rd among Illinois players and 17th in the Midwest by recruiting services.[1][2] What makes Nagel intriguing is his exceptional athleticism—scouts noted he's "a much better athlete right now than he is an actual football player,"[6] suggesting significant upside as he develops. After redshirting and appearing in limited action early in his Northwestern tenure, Nagel later transferred to Truman State where he transitioned to wide receiver, recording 30 receptions for 272 yards in 2012.[5] His versatility and raw athletic tools make him an intriguing developmental prospect, though his career trajectory suggests he's still finding his optimal position.
