Northwestern’s specialist prospect with Big Ten upside
Cody Gronewold is listed by Northwestern as a punter and comes from a specialist background, which usually means he brings consistency, touch, and field-position value more than flashy box-score stats. Publicly available performance data on his college impact is limited, so the key takeaway is projection: if he’s earning snaps in a Northwestern program known for demanding discipline and execution, that’s a good sign of reliability and coach trust. He’s a fit for a team that values hidden-yardage, composure under pressure, and a specialist who can help tilt the field.
