Emily Meidel brings old-school frontcourt grit and rebound value to Eastern Illinois
Meidel is a physical, team-first forward whose value shows up in the dirty work: in Eastern Illinois’ 2024 OVC Tournament win over Tennessee State, she delivered 11 rebounds, plus four points, a steal and two blocks, showing she can swing a game with effort and toughness rather than just volume scoring.[1][2] Her season output has been modest offensively, but she offers a sturdy interior presence and a reputation for high-level play dating back to her junior-college days, when she earned NJCAA All-American recognition.[3][7]
