high-motor Wyoming guard with elite steal production
Martinez is a rugged, two-way guard whose calling card is disruption: in his Wyoming season, he averaged 12.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.1 steals, a steal rate that made him one of the top guards in the country in that category.[1][5] He also brought leadership and toughness as a 6-foot-4 senior who started 31 of 32 games and played heavy minutes, which matters if you want a competitive, defense-first backcourt piece rather than a pure scorer.[2][3]
